Blastocyst culture is an advanced IVF technique in which embryos are grown in the laboratory for 5 to 6 days after fertilisation, until they reach the blastocyst stage. At this stage the embryo has developed into two distinct cell types — the inner cell mass (which becomes the baby) and the trophectoderm (which becomes the placenta).
Transferring a blastocyst rather than an earlier-stage embryo (day 2 or day 3) allows embryologists to select the embryos with the highest developmental potential. This means fewer embryos need to be transferred while achieving a higher pregnancy rate.
Blastocyst culture is recommended for patients who produce multiple fertilised eggs, for those who have had previous failed IVF cycles, and for couples undergoing preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). Our specialists at Noble IVF will evaluate your individual case and advise the most suitable protocol.
At Noble IVF Centre, Aligarh, our experienced embryologists use state-of-the-art incubators and culture media to support blastocyst development. Our high success rates reflect our commitment to quality at every step of your fertility journey.
